Governance Committee

The Governance Committee is a board-appointed committee that advises the Board of Trustees on governance issues in the church.

A ongoing project is re-imaginging the Board's basic policies that give direction to the Executive Team on how to manage the church, and updating the method and timing of Executive Team reports to the Board on how and whether those policies are being followed.

When requested by the Board, the Committee prepares Bylaws amendments. Amendments related to membership and congregational meetings are in progress; you can access materials related to that proposal here:

Lastly, the Committee provides advice on governance and policy questions to the Board.
