About the Leadership Development and Nominating Committee

The Leadership Development and Nominating Committee (LDNC) is composed of seven All Souls members who serve two-year terms, with an option to stand for election to a second term. Committee members are directly accountable to the congregation, as they are nominated by the Church Council and elected by the congregation each year at the annual meeting. The committee is a convivial volunteer opportunity for church members who have a sustained commitment to our community, a broad reach among the membership, and a talent for recruiting leaders.

Each year the LDNC reviews the trustee and officer positions that will be vacant in the following year and consults with the current Board on needed skills, experience, and diversity in order for the Board to fulfill its own goals and provide strong, committed, diverse, and talented leadership for our church. The LDNC develops and implements a year-long action plan to identify, recruit, interview, and nominate candidates for election at the annual meeting each June. We typically meet monthly, except for the early spring, when we often have short weekly check-ins.
