A church is a community that comes together to make a spiritual home and take care of each other. When that community is as large and dynamic as ours, it takes a whole team of full- and part-time professionals to keep the doors open, the lights on, the ministries active, and the worship meaningful. The work of the church is done through collaboration with ministers, staff, and laity. We are grateful for the teams dedicated to stewarding the health and well-being of the congregation.

  • Nine trustees serve three-year terms on the church’s board; each year, some cycle off and others are elected in their place. The trustees represent the congregation. The Executive Team members are ex officio members of the Board of Trustees.

  • Four officers are elected each year to fill functions necessary to smooth operation of the church.

  • The LDNC is a collegial group of seven members who recruit and nominate lay leaders to serve as trustees and officers.

Committees

Some committees are charged by the board and others are charged by the executive team. All are invaluable keeping the church on mission.

  • The Church Council is the collection of all lay leaders of the church, including representatives from all of the church’s ministries and groups. The Council meets twice each year to check in, learn from each other, and explore aspects of church governance.

  • The Committee on Right Relations (CRR), using the church’s Covenant of Right Relations as its foundational document, deals with conflicts with the congregation and between congregation and staff.
