Meet Lara Profitt!

Greetings All Souls Family!

I'm excited to be joining this congregation as the Acting Director of RE. I have been working with Dolores over the past month on this transition and really appreciate all of the time and consideration she has put into preparing me for this role.

A bit about myself - I am a teacher by training. I began my teaching career in DC schools 20 years ago. Along the way I completed a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and moved into hybrid teaching/administrative roles in VA. 10 years ago I made the switch to UU religious education and truly enjoy it. I love being able to use my knowledge and experiences in settings that are aligned with my personal values.

I currently live in Loudoun County VA with my partner Rob, my three children (Matt (16), Ben (13), and Evelyn (9), and many cats. In my spare time I enjoy reading, attempting to switch out all of our landscaping plants to native plants, and taking the occasional nap.
