Sixth Annual All Souls Leadership Course 2019

Your Invitation: 6th Annual All Souls Leadership Course

The Vision: This Leadership Course is designed for people interested in developing their leadership capacity at All Souls and beyond. Participants will be exposed to new perspectives and innovative ideas in leadership; engage in reflective and collaborative exercises; and forge and strengthen relationships with other participants and members of the congregation.

The Why: All Souls is a growing, thriving UU congregation with many talented congregants. We work together through committees and working groups to support and sustain the church and engage with the larger community. With dramatic growth in the congregation, we are intentionally cultivating new leadership, diverse leadership, younger and older leadership --- and your leadership. Many Course alumni have gone on to serve in a variety of leadership roles. They are helping to develop a congregation-wide culture of leadership and supporting their leadership aspirations beyond All Souls as well.

The Course: Several of All Souls’ talented and experienced members co-facilitate each session – people sought frequently for their advice and counsel. All Souls and UUA staff also participate as resources. The program employs a variety of methodologies including interactive experience and small group exercises. The program will also inform participants of current and future leadership opportunities at All Souls.

Course themes and schedule: ALL SESSIONS ARE SATURDAYS, 10 am to 3pm. Feb. 9 & 23; Mar. 9 & 23; Apr. 6 & 13, 2019

  • Countering White Supremacy as Leaders
  • How ASC and its Leaders Work
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Managing Yourself and Others for Resiliency in Leadership
  • Polarity Thinking

By submitting this application, you agree to attend all course sessions. (If you have an unavoidable conflict, you may miss one session. By February 1, a member of the Leadership Course Planning Committee will contact you with further details.
